Our little Stella has been doing well in her loving foster home. However, her foster mom has noticed that from time to time one of her legs has been getting stiff. She usually takes Stella’s little paw and massages it lightly until her leg relaxes. This little setback hasn’t affected Stella’s daily walks in the yard or playtime at all. But Stella will be coming in for a general check-up this month to make sure there aren’t any serious problems and of course to visit some of the medical staff members that love her so much!
Stella and her foster siblings are one, big happy family!
Stella recently had a little tiff with one of her foster siblings. Fortunately, she let the quarrel roll off her back and went right back to being a lively little pooch. She continues to live her life in her own special way because of the orthopedic problems she has in her legs. But since all of her foster siblings are special-needs pets she doesn’t even notice that she has a disability. She frequently nuzzles up to her best bud Honeybun – her foster sibling who only has three legs. For the holiday season, Stella’s foster mom plans on making her some special clothes as a present. Soon both Stella and her mom can show off their matching outfits when they go out around town. Her foster mom has also placed a special stocking on the fireplace with Stella’s name on it, which she plans to fill with the treats and toys that Stella loves!
Our little Stella has been a spitfire as usual. Her foster mom says that she is always happy and brightens her days with her energy and antics. To make Stella happy her foster mom caters to her in every way. She even pretends to be a waitress at a diner as she asks Stella what she wants to eat for her meal and then prepares Stella’s “special orderâ€. Watching her foster mom walk around the kitchen as if she’s carrying around a serving tray gets Stella excited. She runs over to her very own Barbie couch where she jumps up and wriggles around in anticipation. Stella’s foster mom gets a little nervous when Stella gets so excited and jumps around due to her orthopedic problems, but Stella doesn’t seem to have any discomfort.
Stella has been feeling great in her foster home and will soon be coming in for a check-up. Stella continues to be a playful pup and has a sassy, but endearing personality. However, Stella does have some difficulty playing and frolicking around in her home as well as the yard in comparison to some of her foster siblings. While she has some orthopedic issues with her hind legs which affects her mobility, her foster mom says that she is otherwise very full of life. Each day she drags her favorite comforter into the kitchen from the hallway and digs into it while her mom prepares breakfast and dinner for her and her foster siblings!
Stella continues to be a chirpy little girl. She sounds the alarm – her barking – sometimes as early as 4 am to wake up her foster mother. Stella simply loves to watch her feed the birds in the yard and the second her foster mom opens to screen door to go into the yard to do so, Stella makes a run for it. She gallops around in the grass for quite some time while the birds fill up on seed before she’s ready to retreat back inside. Then she usually cuddles up next to her best friend Sasha for some extra zzz’s.
Stella, while adorable and tiny, is far from quiet or patient. This petite pooch has become a morning alarm for her foster family. Each morning at 4:45 am on the dot Stella starts her barking frenzy to wake everyone up. And why do you think she’s so excited for everyone to rise? So that she can get her own special breakfast of course! Stella circles in the kitchen as she watches her foster mom cook breakfast in elated anticipation.
